RED21 and ISM strengthen business ties and explore new opportunities in China
From October 13th to 25th, 2025, Mr. Antonio Miralles, Executive Director of Red21, traveled to China to conduct a series of workshops organized by our agent for East Asia and Southeast Asia, International Shoe Machinery (ISM). Throughout the trip, Mr. Miralles was accompanied by Angela Wen, ISM’s Head of Operations, Marketing, and Technical Support, who, together with Mr. Adam Jiang, ISM’s Director, coordinated the entire itinerary and oversaw the organization and logistics of the events.
The workshops were held in four key cities within China’s footwear industry: Jinjiang, Shanghai, Wenzhou, and Dongguan. Each of them strategic hubs due to their industrial relevance and influence in the Chinese market.
During the sessions, the latest Icad innovations were presented, software and hardware solutions that are constantly evolving and help improve footwear design and creation processes by reducing errors, streamlining workflows, and lowering environmental impact through more efficient resource use, reduced waste, and more sustainable, eco-efficient practices.
The first workshop took place in Jinjiang, one of China’s largest production centers, known for its strong commitment to digitalizing processes to increase efficiency and reduce environmental impact. In this context, Mr. Miralles demonstrated how Icad directly supports these goals, offering companies that supply both domestic and international brands a clear view of Icad’s real potential.
The second stop was Shanghai, one of Asia’s leading financial and technological hubs. Its dynamic business environment made it possible to connect with companies seeking advanced digital solutions to optimize their footwear development workflows.
In Wenzhou, a benchmark city for innovation in footwear design and manufacturing, the workshop allowed for a deeper dive into the Icad features tailored to technical and creative development.
Finally, in Dongguan, another major industrial center and one of the most important manufacturing hubs in China, there were excellent opportunities to engage with companies primarily focused on improving efficiency and accelerating production processes.
In each city, Mr. Miralles held direct meetings with footwear companies, which led to successfully closing new deals, generating fresh opportunities, and building a strategic network of contacts throughout the region.
Overall, the results of the visit were extremely positive. The visibility gained during these workshops was invaluable, and the recognition from professionals who experienced Icad firsthand further confirms the value and quality we deliver to our customers.
At Red21, we sincerely appreciate the excellent work and dedication of the ISM team in China, and we are confident that initiatives like this will continue to open new doors for the growth and expansion of Icad in the Asian market.
