Red21 hosts Decathlon. A collaboration built on closeness and continuous improvement

Last week, Antonio Miralles, Executive Director at Red21, together with Eduardo Barbero, Application Engineer, welcomed part of Decathlon’s footwear design and development team to our facilities. The team, composed of Rémi Goffinet, Pierre Quentin, Patrick Michon and Julien Petit, joined us for a working session focused on strengthening a collaboration built on close interaction, ongoing follow-up and continuous improvement.

These kinds of meetings reflect how we approach every project at Red21. It’s not just about implementing solutions and considering the job done. It’s about supporting their evolution over time, adapting to how they are used in real working environments and collaborating closely to improve every stage of the workflow.

Throughout the session, we carried out an in-depth review of Decathlon’s current workflows, analysing how Icad solutions are being used in their daily operations. This was not a theoretical exercise, but a fully practical one, focused on real situations, specific decisions and day-to-day working dynamics.

This approach made it possible to clearly identify what is already working efficiently, while also uncovering new opportunities for improvement. The goal is to further optimise timing, workflow organisation and team coordination, while continuing to refine Icad solutions so they better respond to Decathlon’s real needs.

At Red21, direct customer feedback plays a key role. Understanding first-hand how teams work, the challenges they face and the improvements they suggest allows us not only to support our clients more effectively, but also to feed that knowledge back into the ongoing development and evolution of Icad solutions.

The session also served as a space to validate ideas and explore new ways of working. Beyond reviewing current processes, we focused on how to continue evolving them, anticipating future needs and identifying more efficient approaches.

At the same time, we shared with the Decathlon team the latest developments in Icad, as well as the current lines of development we are working on. In this context, the participation of Inescop, developer of Icad, with Vicente López (Head of CAD) and Juan Carlos Toledo (Software Development Technician), provided a direct insight into the technical evolution of the solutions and how they are built based on real industry needs, ensuring that every improvement has a practical application.

These kinds of sessions reflect a way of working based on proximity, active listening and continuous improvement. A collaboration where every step forward is built together, adapting the tools to the client’s reality and supporting their evolution over time.

Because when Icad evolves based on the real experience of those who use it every day, the result is always more robust, more useful and better aligned with the needs of the industry.

At Red21, this is what we believe in. Working closely, staying connected and evolving together with our clients.
